Wilsharhouse is an old cattery, in a bedroom community, high in the hills of one of Southern California’s mountain chains.  It was started when Sharon married Bill Pichotta, thus the name Wilsharhouse which stands for William and Sharon’s house.  We never raised our cats for sale but for pleasure.  The few litters born here are very seldom sold but placed in hand selected homes.

Before Wilsharhouse came into being Sharon originally started with Himalayans but after many years of frustration and Bill’s love for blacks the cattery became one for solids and torties and the Himmys went to pet homes.  After Bill’s passing the focus of the cattery changed again to bi-colors due to a wonderful gift of trust by Maurice Ruble as he gave Sharon his favorite bed partner and pal, Budmar’s Vanity Fair, “Marla”.  She became GC, BW, NW Budmar’s Vanity Fair but she’ll always be Marla to Maurice and the “princess” to the judges that loved her.

Sharon was fortunate to be able to show Vanity to a National win in the 2005-2006 show year.  The next year, 2006-2007, Couronne’s Big Bad Billy joined the family and also was fortunate to receive the support of the judges and achieve a National win.  Both of these beautiful animals are the foundation for Wilsharhouse’s bi-color program.

Bob Baratto sent a high color cream and white female and a tortoiseshell to help make calicos.  A wonderful little calico kitten was a gift from Diana Heinzen of TNT Purrfect cattery and Maurice sent Vanity Fair’s brother to help with Wilsharhouse’s breeding program.  Through the help of Sandy Bucchio (Sandy-B) Wilsharhouse was able to acquired another beautiful cream and white, GC Sandy-B’s Cowboy from Parti Wai.  Thus the bi-color program is off to a great start due to the help of wonderful friends in the cat fancy.

The cats mostly live free and are an important part of Sharon’s life.    They run, jump and play or sleep the day and night away.  The cats are in the process of being tested for PKD and the results should be in soon.  Hopefully they will all be DNA, PKD negative.  It is with this start that someday there may be a Wilsharhouse National winner.  That is the goal.

It is with great pride that this website was started with the help of Tina Heigl of Roggenstein Cattery.  She has done a wonderful job in showcasing the beauty of these wonderful animals and loves making websites.  I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I do and I really enjoy sharing them for your viewing pleasure.
